During your degree, you will also have the chance to choose the track that most inspires you. You may complete your degree in Spain, in a combined program at the University of Law in England or apply for a joint program at Northwestern University in the United States.

LWOW is an experiential venture lab and competition that seeks to generate original ideas and solutions for current and future challenges in the world of business, law, and technology. The event fosters a culture of creativity and innovation, providing an opportunity for students to learn in a multidisciplinary environment while developing their problem-solving skills The competition brings together students from over 100 countries from more than 30 law and business schools around the world.
It was being part of such an amazingly diverse group of talented professionals and students that made the experience so unique. Just talking to these people completely changed my perspective of the legal world nowadays.
I believe it is time we start thinking differently. Our generation has to deal with this challenge of embracing and being the change in a legal landscape that is surely adapting to the 21st century and all of its new actors.

There’s no better way to learn than by watching the experts. This week-long program allows second and third-year students to shadow successful law professionals at the most prestigious international and national law firms. Students spend time in several different areas and departments of the firm to gain a comprehensive understanding of how top lawyers apply theory to practice in the real world.
Participating firms in the past few years include: Baker & McKenzie, Linklaters, Uria Menéndez, Pérez-Llorca, Watson Farley Williams, Garrigues, and Cuatrecasas.
Pérez-Llorca chose young lawyers for us to shadow. They kept making sure we got the most out of the week, speaking to us about all kind of topics they felt could be useful for our professional careers. I really enjoyed the chance to take a look at the internal functioning of the firm.

Students can choose from four tracks and develop their own professional path according to their ambitions and career goals. All graduates, regardless of the track they decide to follow, will leave the IE Law School fully prepared to practice law around the world in both public and private sectors.
This program will prepare you to work in an international environment and tackle problems on a global scale. After graduation, you’ll have the flexibility to choose from a wide range of exciting professional paths, in the country of your choosing: UK, USA or India.
The Global Experience is designed for individuals with a strong sense of justice who want to become internationally respected leaders. This track is also well-suited for students who want a wide range of options available to them post-graduation.
After graduating from the Global Experience track, you’ll be prepared to pioneer change and build the future of law in any number of settings. You might end up working in a top law firm, major corporation, NGO, or think tank.
Using practical and innovative methods, you’ll learn how to solve legal problems from a multijurisdictional lens. You’ll also develop the advocacy skills and international fluency necessary to confidently take on future career challenges.
This track can be easily customized to your needs and interests. You may elect to specialize in a subject such as Human Rights or Business Law, complete an internship, or participate in an exchange semester at a top law school in a different country.
After graduation, many students continue their education at IE Law School, where they deepen their understanding of the Spanish legal system and go on to become successful jurists. Others attend law school internationally, or begin successful professional careers.
Students enrolled in this track will graduate with dual law degrees from two international universities: IE University in Spain and The University of Law in the UK. You’ll also have the opportunity to complete the graduate program required to become either a solicitor or a barrister in the UK.
You´ll spend the first two years of this program at ie university, studying at either segovia or madrid. Year three is spent at the campus in madrid, and year four is spent at The University of Law in the UK. Students who do not wish to complete the LPC or BPTC may instead participate in an internship or exchange program with IE University in their fourth year.
The LPC (Legal Practice Course) and BTPC (Bar Professional Training Course) are post-graduate training programs required to become a practicing solicitor or barrister in the UK. Solicitors provide advice, draft legal documents, and undertake negotiations for clients, while barristers act as advocates in legal hearings and plead cases in front of a judge.
Founded in 1876, The University of Law is one of the UK’s longest-established specialized providers of legal education. It has earned a reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices.
As a participant in the UK Experience, you’ll graduate in four years with dual degrees from top Spanish and UK universities. You’ll take both IE University and University of Law courses alongside other international students, and receive academic guidance and support from both universities.
After completing your program, you may begin a career as a solicitor or barrister in the UK immediately. You can also elect to continue your studies at the IE Law School, Or work for a law firm, a think tank, ngo or leading international corporation.
IE Law students will have the opportunity to apply to a program with Northwestern University to pursue an LL.M degree or a JD degree in addition to their LL.B. Those who have successfully passed the Northwestern track admissions process will split their time between IE University in Madrid and Northwestern University, a top law school outside of Chicago, Illinois.
Through this program, you’ll gain a deep understanding of comparative law, American law, legal processes, and international law. Graduating with two degrees from two top law schools will permit you to pursue the legal career of your choice.
A J.D. is required to practice law in the US, and is appropriate for students hoping to practice law in either the US or Spain. An LL.M. is generally earned after an LL.B. or J.D., and is appropriate for students who wish to practice law internationally.
The Northwestern Pritzker School of Law was the first law school in Chicago and is ranked among the top 20 law schools in the United States. Thanks to the low student-faculty ratio, students receive individualized attention and high-quality instruction.
As a student in the LL.M. program at Northwestern, you’ll make up part of a small but diverse cohort. Over 20 nationalities are represented in the program and there are 115 students per year, with an average age of 26. If you choose to earn a J.D., you’ll be in a 230-student program that is made up of 90% American students, with an average age of 25.
After completing this 4-year program, you’ll have the skills and expertise necessary to become a global jurist or work at a top law firm. You’ll also be able to land a significant role at a major corporation, think tank, or NGO.
Open exclusively to Indian nationals, this program transforms students into global law professionals and business strategists* and opens the door to becoming an Advocate in India. After having successfully completed the LL.B and LL.M programs at IE University, you will be able to enroll with the State Bar Council of India and permitted to sit the All Indian Bar Examinations (AIBE).
The Bachelor of Laws at IE University will prepare you to analyze the complex global legal reality from diverse perspectives and systems. Then, by acquiring international experience and a global perspective, you’ll develop the necessary skills to have a successful career in the international arena.
During the first 4 or 5 years of your program, you will complete an undergraduate degree in law, choosing between a Bachelor in Politics, Law, and Economics; a Dual Degree in Business Administration and Laws; or a Dual Degree in Laws and International Relations. Then, you will complete an LL.M. in International Business Law in order to develop the skills necessary to thrive in an international career.
After graduating and passing the All India Bar Examination, you’ll be able to practice law independently or with a firm. You may also choose to take your state’s judicial services exam to become a judicial magistrate, civil judge, or public attorney.
